The PC tablets are now becoming the new arena for competition. Archos is one famous name in this arena since it is famous for being innovative. Archos recently unveiled its new mini pc tablet.
The ARCHOS 9 incorporates the new Intel ATOM Z515 processor, an 80 GB hard disk, Bluetooth to tether wireless accessories, and 2 antennas to receive DVBT TV with diversity reception. It also has a 1GB of RAM, built in 802.11 b/g WiFi, a 1.3 megapixel camera, VGA out, and the option for 3G connectivity. The whole thing measures 256 x 134 x 16 mm and weighs less than 800g, while the display runs at 1024 x 600. Control is either via the touchscreen or an optical mouse on the right-hand bezel.
And what’s more, the ARCHOS 9 is running Microsoft® Windows 7, the latest version of the most commonly used operating system in the world.
The Archis 9 PC Tablet is priced at $700 and will be available in market in October, 2009
