Games for iPhone recently have got developers adding another console to their ever growing list of gaming platforms. Mass Effect, the role playing game by Bioware, is set to be released for iPhone, after the game development news was leaked. As such the developers Bioware had to own up the new title and had come up with a few details to silence the barrage of rumors.

- So straight to the updates revealed:
- Mass effect wont be a sequel or a prequel, it would just be a story not linked in anyway.
- The development on this game is being done by a separate, dedicated team with no connection to any Mass Effect DLC development or patches so this is not the case.
- BioWare and the Mass Effect team want to branch out in a number of ways with the ME universe, and this is just one example of such branching out. We think the iPhone and iPod Touch are exciting new platforms for games, and this game was designed for these platforms from the ground up.
So things are moving on, and at least we heard from the developers themselves. All the previous stories on the storyline, developers etc is all false. More details is also expected in the coming months, so stay tuned and Technama will keep you updated. Here is a screen shot of the Mass Effect, originally posted at 1up.com
