Panda Cloud AntiVirus Beta Free Download

Posted by MJK On May - 2 - 2009

Security Software firm Panda has announced the public beta of its first free cloud-based antivirus thin-client. Cloud based antivirus system means that extensive data analysis are done at the server while the client side enjoys safe and smooth computing. Therefore, Panda Cloud Antivirus beta needs an active internet connection to reach Panda Security’s Collective Intelligence malware and goodware online database. The Panda Cloud AV explains the new model and their objective in the following words on their blog:

With Panda Cloud Antivirus we introduce a new protection model based on a thin-client agent & server architecture which services malware protection as opposed to locally installed products. By combining local detection technologies with cloud-scanning capabilities and applying non-intrusive interception techniques on the client architecture, Panda Cloud Antivirus provides some of the best protection with a lightweight antivirus thin-client agent that barely consumes any PC resources.

Our objective is to release a solution based on this new protection model which helps solve the malware problem by improving user experience. After almost 20 years fighting viruses and malware we have changed our mentality at Panda. We would like to open ourselves to you and show you how we pretend to do things. In this blog we’ll explain in depth how this new model works in order to help improve it with you, our users.

Do keep in mind the fact that this new Cloud Antivirus keeps a local cache so you will not need an active internet connection at all times to keep your system safe. In this new era with increasingly complex viruses, updating of virus definition is now required every few hours so Panda Cloud Antivirus will truly match the future requirements. At least i am already tired of resource heavy anti virus programs and even then i have to update then every few hours to remain safe. So i would definitely prefer Panda Cloud AV system over the traditional anti virus systems.

    Solution from Search-and-destroy.
If you own a computer, you must have antispyware to keep it running at its best. The problem is choosing a scan that works. I have tried many different types of scans in the past and then I ran across Search-and-destroy Antispyware. I have to say that the antispyware solution from Search-and-destroy is the best that I have used to date. It gets the job done and keeps my computer working like new. If you are interested in seeing for yourself just how good this antispyware works. I’m sure it would be worth your time to check it out.
