Philips X550 – Phone with Impressive Battery Life

by MJK on May 19, 2009

Philips is making sure to leave its mark on the mobile phone segment. It has added another candybar phone to its impressive Xenium series of phones. The new candybar Philips X550 is expected to be launched soon. The impressive feature of the phone is its remarkable battery life which can last for a whole month or 720 hours. Now that you know about the plus point of Xenium550, here is a negative point about it.

The Philips X550 does not support 3G and hence will only have GPRS and EDGE based data connectivity. This might also result in a fact that this phone will not be released in US. However, the Eastern Europe, China and South Asian including Pakistan and India can be potentially huge markets for the phone. The other features of the X550 are its QVGA display with 262k colors, a 3.2MP autofocus camera, a microSD card slot (up to 8GB), an FM radio with RDS and a Bluetooth connectivity option.
