
“The StarCraft II beta-test period is coming in the months ahead! If you?d like a chance to participate, now?s the time to let us know,” writes the official Blizzard website.
StarCraft II is a trilogy of military science fiction real-time strategy video games currently under development by Blizzard Entertainment as a sequel to the award-winning 1998 video game StarCraft. StarCraft II, originally envisioned as a single game, was announced to be a trilogy at BlizzCon 2008, consisting of one game followed up later by two expansion packs, provisionally entitled Wings of Liberty, Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void respectively.
Here is how 1up instructs the user to sign-up for the eagerly awaited beta release.
Just sign up for Battle.net, then add a game under “Manage My Games.” Afterward, you’ll be able to open up “Beta Profile Settings” and download a client that will take a snapshot of your system specs. Once it’s been automatically uploaded, you’ll be able to request participation in WarCraft, Diablo and StarCraft betas.
