Michael Arrington has just broke at TechCrunch that @Twitter is looking to hire CFO. TechCrunch says they’ve confirmed that Twitter is aggressively looking to pick executives across the board and a number of candidates have been interviewed for the CFO job.
Another news broke at NY Times (also mentioned by Michael) that Twitter has hired Alexander Macgillivray, who has been serving as Associate General Counsel for Product and IP, as their new General Counsel. Macgillivray is still at Google, and his start date at Twitter has not yet been confirmed.
Note that, Macgillivray has been playing a key role in Google’s legal battles over their book scanning efforts and this would certainly be worrisome for Google as the matter is still not settled at the US department of Justice.
Another thing that is interesting to note is that everybody was presuming that Twitter will be sold off sooner or later but this impression has been cleaned off from top executives’ minds joining Twitter that they are gonna stay longer.
