Wolfram Alpha has been launched for public testing on 15th May, 2009 . We have been eagerly waiting to test Wolfram Alpha as we wrote in our earlier blog post. I thought to give it a try and test it for numerous questions. Thanks to the fact that it kept with me and didn’t give me capacity limitation message. Since its a public trial version, it do gets out of its maximum capacity and you might get the following screen
The Wolfram Alpha in my opinion offer a lot of functionalities and solutions to loads of questions related to numbers. I think it will not be a true rival to Google because of different scope of its services but it will surely divert some traffic away from Google. At least i won’t use google next time when i have to search for GDP of India or for population of Beijing in China and its distance from Shanghai. Overall, its a very powerful tool but it surely needs further development to reach to a level where it can become Google killer. Below is the launch video of Wolfram Alpha on Justin.tv.
A detail post on how Wolfram Alpha works can be fond at TechCrunch. We suggest that you should test it and let us know your feedback. Tell us any new thing that you found on it
