Apple has today released iOS 4.0.1 which is speculated to fix the dropping signal problems when iPhone 4 is held in left hand with fingers covering the antenna bars. The antenna issue has grown so large that Apple has called a short notice press conference and it is assumed that press conference’s main agenda will be Apple’s reply on antenna issue. There was much uproar when nation wide Consumer Reports published a no recommendation for iPhone 4 after the tests in their labs.
Its still very early to say if this update will really fix the problem. Analysts are tossing all kinds of opinions and some gone on saying the new update may just control how the signal bars appear and may not cover the antenna itslef. We will leave this discussion on to the press conference and will come back iOS 4.0.1 for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G.
All of you know how to update to a new firmware. Just plugin your device via USB and start iTunes. Clicking on Download and install will do the the stuff when you see a prompt from iTunes regarding an updated firmware.
