Boot Droid X into Recovery Mode [How To]

by dave on July 22, 2010

You could need this while installing custom ROMs for Droid X. May be for now you wont require this until the Android hacking/developing folks get into root access for Droid X…but you never know when you need this little trick to boot your Droid X in to recovery mode.

So here we go:

1. Turn your phone off.
2. Hold down “Home” and press “Power” until the Motorola logo appears.
3. Release ”Power” and continue to hold “Home” until an exclamation appears.
4. Release “Home” and press the “Search” button once.
5. Your phone will now enter recovery.

How to get out of Recovery Mode?
Simple! use your volume up and down buttons until “reboot system now” is highlighted and then press the camera button.

[Thanks]
