Eminem to Feature in BlackOps Soundtrack

by MJK on August 17, 2010

Don’t really know what to expect but Activision has confirmed that a song from Eminem’s latest album ‘Recovery’ will feature in the upcoming most anticipated game of the year ‘ Call of Duty – Black Ops.

The reason i am a bit skeptical is because we know that Black Ops is set around the Veitnam /Cold War era, so how well is Slim Shady’s hip hop music gonna suit the situation ! i really don’t know . I was more looking forward to some Led Zepplin’s kind of classic rock stuff. But again it just might be the Ending Credits song or more just a song selected for the Launch Trailer.

Activision’s fall titles are set to give gamers an unparalleled musical experience. We have assembled an exceptionally talented roster of artists, many of whom have created exclusive or originally recorded tracks for our games. We are sure our titles will offer a variety of tracks that will appeal to our wide consumer base and delight the most passionate music and gaming fans.

The Music Composer is not yet revealed hence it is difficult to tell what to expect. Trailers also doesn’t have any clear cut indications. Anyways, lets hope that the OST for Black Ops is of high quality and also officially released by Activision, unlike the last time with Modern Warfare 2 Soundtrack.

Meanwhile you can also checkout BlackOps Rc-Xd , or some Artwork and Screenshots.

Frankly speaking. This totally sux. Hans Zimmer has done a great job with Modern Warfare 2 and should have continued here.

Im expecting a guest experience anyways, and the real music would be much differnt.

You can put money on Sean Murray again, and perhaps we will see commercial releases from Activision/Fontana, since they eventually did release MODERN WARFARE 2, albeit a little quietly.
