Android 2.2 is expected to be rolled out to Sprint EVO in sometime but it seems there is a direct download link already available and it has been spread to the masses, thanks to the active tech blogs. We thought to share it with our Android fans as well. Here is how to get hold of Android 2.2 Download for HTC EVO
Step 1: Go to this site and download the update
Step 2: Once the update has been download, save it to the root of your phone’s SD card,
Step 3: Now Boot your device in recovery mode and then select the option to install the update from the .zip file.
Okies done! Once the installation is complete, you can start exploring the feature rich Froyo for EVO. Do keep this factor in mind that HTC has already floated a warning about this version to the users. Here is what they tweeted on it.
Please be aware any update.zip floating around for EVO are not final and may cause problems. Official updates are coming OTA next week!
