The voice recognition has been one of the main attraction for people in the mobile industry. However, it is still in the infancy stage when it comes to computers and browsers. However, Firesay has jumped into the arena with the launch of their Firefox extension for Windows 7 users. The Firesay Add-on for Firefox recognize various pre defined voice commands and hence save your precious time of typing the same for an overall faster browsing experience.
Firesay Voice Recognition Extension is launched as beta and hence it has certain limitations. For example, it supports a limited number of websites and hence you can not open each and every website on the internet through the voice commands. Initially, it supports the most famous websites. The detail list of those websites can be found here. Moreover, you can also visit various TV Shows through the Firesay Extension. However, the same limitation of beta apply here as well. Click here to find out the supported TV shows.
The website of Firesay has given the list of support commands and we are listing them below for the convenience of our readers:
“Go to”, “Open”, or “Launch” followed by website name.
“Search Google” followed by a search term.
“Watch” followed by a TV show name.
“Close tab” to close the tab currently in focus.
“Multitask” followed by the website name.
The most important thing in any voice recognition software is its accuracy. So do let us know your opinion about Firesay accuracy in recognizing your voice. However, we encourage our fans to give it a try and encourage the company since it is the first one to come out with this revolutionary product. I am sure, they will improve it in the final release.
Firesay supports Firefox versions 3 – 3.6, and Windows 7 only.
