[How To] Ahhh… I am a Skype user since the beginning and have done thousands of minutes of calls if not millions
and simply love it however in a recent version for Windows 7 it had annoyed me enough to keep it only running when i required to make a call.
The reason: Skype icon just sits at your windows 7 taskbar no matter how many times you click x to close it or minimize it thinking that it will go hide somewhere near the volume icon around your clock. But NO…it just sticks whatever you do annoying the hell out of you. Before i knew the solution to this; i just quit the application and run only when i need to chat or call some one. But obviously this was not the ideal scenario.Next up when i found the solution it was way too easy
. Here it is how:
- Open Skype
- Go to Tools>Options>Advanced
- Uncheck “Keep Skype in the taskbar while I’m signed in”
- Save, that’s it!
Now Skype will actually minimize to the system tray when you press x.
