As we just wrote a blog post on how to Jailbreak iPhone 4, 3GS and 3G through the browser based jailbreak technique called JailbreakMe 2.0 Star. We are now sharing the guide for jailbreak of iPod Touch 3G, 2G MC model operating on iOS 4.0 through JailbreakMe 2.0 Star. Here is the technique.
However, before moving ahead, we strongly advise that you take a full backup of your iPod Touch from the iTunes. Also you need to have a working WiFi link before you embark on the process.
Step 1: In first step, you have to update your iPod Touch 3G or iPod Touch 2G MC Model to iOS 4.0 firmware through iTunes. Links given at the end
Step 2: Connect to the WiFi network and open Safari Browser from you iPod Touch 3G or 2G MC Model and go to http://jailbreakme.com
Step 3: Once there press on “Slide to Jailbreak” to start the jailbreak process. The jailbreak will automatically download a jailbreak tool to your device by downloading required files.
Step 4: Now as soon as the files are downloaded, the jailbreak process will start automatically. You are not required to do anything or interrupt the process. Just believe in the fact that Patience is Virtue and sit back and relax.
Step 5: Once done, iPod will display the message “Cydia has been added to the Home Screen”
Step 6: Now close the Opera browser and go to Cydia. It will be right there on your iPod!
Party the Jailbreak is complete. I don’t think you can find any better jailbreak technique then this one.

sorry, Jailbreakme.com has been fix by Apple. Could anyone find anyother ways beside redsn0w and sn0wbreez? My Ipod touch has been jailbroken yet.

Is working for me. I have an Ipod Touch 2G MC 4.0 and this was the only solution that worked, after 2 days of non-stop trying!
