Mobile VoIP is a hot area and now a report by Juniper says mVoIP to have a staggering growth within 5 years. According to new report, Mobile Voice Strategies (mVoIP Opportunities & Business Models, 2010-2015) by Juniper Research, the number of mobile VoIP minutes will rise from 15 billion this year to 470.6 billion minutes by 2015. This is 31 times more bigger than what we currently have in terms of mVoIP voice minutes.
According to the research company, developed markets will remain the key target segment where traffic will steadily rise over the forecast period but other regions will also have its own shares.

- Presents VoIP pricing tends and forecasts roadmap for mVoIP development over 3G and 4G networks
- Forecasts the number of 3G subscribers using VoIP, as well as the value of traffic carried over VoIP networks split by mobile VoIP applications and mobile VoIP alliances with operators.
- Forecasts the number of VoIP minutes used as well as traffic value and user forecasts for 4G mobile VoIP.
- Forecasts the number of minutes and associated revenues lost to VoIP over WiFi connections.
One of the important findings for Mobile VoIP companies discusses how competitive and regulatory pressures will push traditional operators in developed markets to eventually forge partnerships with VoIP providers as we see this is the new strategy adopted by many mobile VoIP companies.
