Panasonic introduces its HDC-SDX1 and HM-TA1 HD Camcorders cum Web Cams. With a 2.7” touch screen feature you can also take still pics from video clips. The other HM-TA1 is a pocket cam, which can also be transformed in to a webcam.
Specs and Features of HM-TA1:
The HM-TA1, is a mobile video camera thatt can shoot 8MP still pics and capture shots (5MP) from the videos, all the videos are shot in MP4 version and Apples iFrame format(960×540/30p), if you want to use it as a webcam, just plug it in the USB and it will work finely with Skype or other Visual chat 
programs, the mini dynamic HM-TA1 has microphone option, it weighs only 0.25lbs, it has options for advanced settings with power, play, record, still photo, LED light (on/off) and delete button, and shall be available in August, choose your favorite color from gray, purple or black for, 170$ only.
Other features of HM-TA1 include:
- E.I.S (Electrical Image Stabilization).
- Can zoom upto 4x.
- Different color effects.
- USB charging capability.

The HDC-SDX1 which Panasonic claims as its lightest full HD camcorder weighing only 0.41lbs, with a wide angle lens and 23x intelligent zoom, other features include an option I always find fascinating is: facial recognition, 
AF/AE tracking, and an intelligent sense selector with a contrast control, this gadget will be available in September but for a whopping price of 500$ since it supports the best of the best image quality.
Other features include:
- Face recognition, which only tracks the subject faces and tracks them when they move around anywhere within the LCD frame.
- Intelligent Screen Selector switches between the different modes accordingly, hence making picture quality bright and beautiful.
- With face detector it captures the faces without hindering the image quality of faces even in ark or dim light.
- It has a 2.7” wide LCD monitor.
- The Panasonic HDC-SDX1 will only be available in Black color.
- The use of a high performance CPU is advised while video conferencing with high quality images.
