Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy Tab, an Android based tablet. The Samsung Galaxy Tab will initially be launched at Europe ahead of other regions like Korea, US and Asia. Thomas Richter, head of Samsung’s product portfolio for the European telecommunications division, unveiled the tablet at the IFA electronics show in Berlin on Thursday.
Galaxy Tab has some interesting features and the most talked are front and rear cameras that can allow video chatting over 3G, and the obvious video and picture capturing. The Galaxy Tab comes with its own e-reader application, among others, supplied by Samsung. The company also is building in apps for video chat, email, and playing music and video. It also runs thousands of Android applications.
