Sanyo will be rolling out world’s first waterproof full HD camcorder by end of June. The DMX-CA100 can has the ability to stay alive up to an hour at 3m depth underwater. It will be released in Japan by the end of June for about $US440, with no international release yet announced. The DMX-CA100 is available in Black (K), Yellow (Y) and Pink (P) colors.
The DMX-CA100 shoots upto 1080p video to H.264, 14 megapixel stills, and offers a 6x optical zoom augmented by a 6x “Advanced Zoom” that crops the image sensor instead of just blowing up the pixels like a regular digital zoom.
The video recorder has the “High-Speed Sequential Shooting” mode that allows the camera to capture up to 22 photos at 7 frames per second. Other features include Digital Image Stabilizer, Face Chaser Function, a Mini HDMI Terminal and an Eye-Fi card compatibility.
