Xperia line has got a new member in its Family known as XPERIA X8. This 3-inch Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 nick named as Shakira has Android 1.6 and is sized somewhere between the Xperia X10 and the Xperia X10 mini. This phone is placed as an entry-level Android smartphone.
The announcement came this morning at a German site but the official press release is yet to come. X8 features a 3.2 MP camera at the back, quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA as connectivity options, WiFi, a 600MHz CPU, 1,200mAh battery, and interchangeable covers.
Price of Xperia X8: Without a contract, Sony Ericsson suggest a retail price of 219 Euro/$270 for X8.
Availability of X8: Xperia X8 will be available from Q3-2010 and will be available in Dark Blue/White, Aqua Blue/White, Pink/White und Silver/White
