According to news on Android and Me, T-Mobile is all set to release their first HSPA+ device somewhere in September and it will branded as T-Mobile G2, truly named as a successor to the original G1. This T-Mobile G2 was previously being referred as HTC Vision/G1 Blaze
G2 was showed off running stock Android 2.2 FroYo in an internal T-Mobile regional meeting. The T-Mobile G2 is said to be a Google-experience device like the G1 and ship with stock Android.
G2 is powered by a Qualcomm MSM7230 processor. The MSM7230 has the same Scorpion CPU as previously commercialized in the Snapdragon QSD8x50 chipset found in other HTC phones and has a clock speed of 800 MHz to 1 GHz. The G2 prototype was said to be currently running at 800 MHz, but there are more chances that it will be jumped to 1 GHz by launch.
T-Mobile leaked roadmap suggested a device called HTC Vanguard scheduled for a release of September 9th. The launch date may not be the same but there are strong chances that it will be released somewhere in September. And for all those who are waiting anxiously T-Mobile has also put up a teaser site for this phone.
We will be posting in more leaks for T-Mobile’s first HSPA device so keep looking back.
