A netbook which is just the right choice for  someone looking for a good deal at a lower price that is 299$, when charged it has more than 8 hour battery life, this attractive net book comes from ASUS seashell line, and looks like 1005PE-P, it has curvy panels and nice striking look, comes in matte black and white lid giving a luxury look to it, with a white keyboard the bezel is shiny black, 1001P has 160GB hard drive, measures 10.3×7.0×1.4” and weighs 2.8 pounds and if you put the charger with it it weighs 3.4 pounds and is not heavy on your shoulders at all.

The keyboard keys are somewhat tiny and raised and easier to type on, it comes with a single mouse option hence makes selecting icons around the desktop easy

The 1001 P maintains its heat temperature under 95 degrees even after playing a good full screen game on it.

It has a decent video quality with 1024×600 pixel LED backlit display, to get the best view of the screen you have to keep it at 30 degree angle, the speaker quality is also smooth and clear as compared to other netbooks available.

On its left side there is a USB 2.0 port, a VGA port and a Kensington lock slot, to the right side are a 3 in 1 memory card reader, Ethernet port, two USB 2.0 ports and headphone and microphone jacks.

With a 0.3 megapixel webcam the images are quite clear however the image is a little unclear when you pass your hand quickly in front of the lens.

Its pretty average when we talk about its efficiency and performance, but can handle everyday activities quite nicely, the system doesn’t hang even if more than 3 tabs are open, video calls, or working on internet explorer or word pad opens is quick and runs very easily.

With a 4400 mAH battery  the battery can run upto 8 hours or more, aslong as the wireless performance is concerned it has 802.11 b/b wifi card streaming videos on youtube and listening songs are a pleasurable experience.
