Casual and even hardcore puzzle gamers will definitely enjoy Truchet for the iPhone or iPod Touch. This puzzle game is developed by Brandon Wolf and for a new puzzle game is quite addictive. This game can be played on various platforms providing the device has 4.0 iOS software installed in it.
Basically, Truchet is a puzzle game originally created by a Dominican monk during the 18th century. Most people may not recognize this game in the beginning that I insure you that it is quite challenging. Essentially, users are presented with a layout of tiles and they must figure out which tiles to flip in order for the pattern to form only circles. Initially, this game may not appear difficult but most new players usually take an average of five minutes to achieve the goal. Even after users have finished that certain level they may not achieve it with the recommended among of moves. As an example, after I finished the first level a message appeared saying “Way to go! You completed the level in 46 moves (2 required)”. The good thing is that users will get better at this game if they play it often enough.
For players that are still confused about this game they should go directly to the How to Play section of it and go through all of the information provided. In any case that you’re stuck with a certain level users cannot also receive extra help with a hint button. Since the game play has a bit of strategic element to it users may find it similar to the Rubik’s Cube.
Players are given the opportunity to edit various parts of the game such as the color of the lines on each tile which starts out with a lime green color. Players can also headed the background, the color of the grid lines and even modify the difficulty levels from a selection of 1-5. Players can even change the difficulty level during the game play. And as always if you get stuck, there is a feature to restart the game.
Truchet is a very addictive puzzle game that does not require a large amount of time to learn. The rules are simple and user friendly. All in all, this is the perfect game to kill time when you are waiting in line, sitting in a subway for your daily commute or even to play during your spare time. Puzzle game fans will definitely enjoy this game.
