Sanyo is coming up with their first ever pocket camcorder Xacti VPC-PD2, with a 3x optical zoom lens, ranging 38mm wide angle to a 114 telephoto, along with stereo microphones to its sides.
Although the company has been making ultra-compact HD camcorders but VPC-PD2 is Sanyo’s first pocket camcorder. It records 1080p High definition MPEG-4 videos at 30 frames per second, the earlier cam corders supported iFrame but this model does not.
In it’s still-capture mode it snaps 10megapixel photos with a built in Flash feature, VPC-PD2 also has a burst shooting mode where it
snaps 2 megapixel snap shots repeatedly when you press the shutter button.
There is a slide out USB connector for offloading pics and charging the battery and the video clips and images are saved to a user supplied SD, SDHC or SDXC card it also has an extension cable for the camcorder’s built USB connector.
Another interesting feature is that you can easily upload files from a WiFi connection with it’s HDMI out port which is compatible Eye-Fi cards.
Take crisp and clear images from Sanyo VP CPD2 camcorder with the sharp optical zoom lens along with great videos, priced at 170$ the model is due to be available in September, this is one pocket camcorder packed with full-features to compete with the other HD pocket camcorders in the market.
