After doing some research on the net, i decided to come up with the list of 10 cheapest laptops available on the market for our readers. Those searching on net will find it much easier to get a start point and hence save their time for some other productive activity. So let’s save your time and share the list as of date. We were on the hunt for a fun related post since it got quite dry here at Technama with a serial of tech stuff.
No, no… hey MJK (our best author here at TN) I am not saying that all the tech stuff you post here is boring rather it is very interesting. This time MJK searched for interesting use of laptops! Some are weird, some are interesting and some hilarious too! WARNING: don’t try the following heroics with your laptop unless you have the tough machines that of Dell, Asus etc.

So here you go with the interesting usage of laptops:

Lenovo is trying to keep up with its tradition of offering rugged machine that offers value to its users and at the same time cost less. Lenovo has been churning out a new machine labeled Lenovo G530 IdeaPad. Its a true value for money type of notepad that can offer you most of the options that a serious business user with a lot of mobility needs. However, if you decide to test it for extreme results, i think you won’t get it out of Lenovo G530 laptop.

According to PC World:

The overall experience of using the IdeaPad G530 is one of, well, using a cheap laptop. There doesn’t appear to be any sort of durability issue, but it doesn’t feel solid the way more substantial notebooks do. The screen quality suffers as soon as you move your head. The integrated speakers are functional, but you don’t want to listen to music using them. The system has a VGA output port, but no digital video output at all. The ethernet port is 10/100, not gigabit. You’re stuck with 32-bit Windows Home Basic.

It’s all too easy to focus on the negatives, though. Too easy to lose sight of the fact that, as a 15-inch, $499 notebook, it’s one of a rare breed. It’s clearly designed and built for businesses that need cheap notebooks for traveling employees and that will be functional enough for them to check their e-mail, update that spreadsheet, or pull important files off a customer’s DVD-ROM and send them back to the home office. For this market, it’s a fairly good bargain.

It’s far from a barn-burner and will obsolete itself faster than a slightly beefier and more expensive notebook, but we keep coming back to that low, low price tag and all that it implies

Disney, in partnership with Asus, is set to launch a new netbook called Disney Netpal that will be targeted at kids ages six to 12 and will come with features such as parental controls and a customized Disney user interface.

“This is not a toy,” says Thompson Richmond, director of consumer electronics for Disney Consumer Products. “It’s a real product with features that you can put safely into the hands of kids.”

Design & Features:

• It just happens to come in pink, with lacey curlicues and a big Disney logo right in the middle. The $350 netbook will be available in August.

• The Disney netbooks are rebranded Asus Eee PCs so if you are familiar with the Asus look and design, there’s a sense of deja vu with the Disney Netpal.

• The Netpal will be available in two colors: “blue for boys and pink for girls.” The pink is a Pepto-Bismol pink and has floral patterns on the netbook cover, while the blue is more muted.

• The keyboard is built to be “spill-proof,” says Richmond, and the corners of the netbook have been reinforced to ensure it doesn’t crack easily.

In terms of hardware alone, there’s little to distinguish the machine from its peers. In that respect Dell’s latest netbook targeted at kids, which has a rubber-like case and an anti-microbial keyboard, surpasses the Netpal.

Where Disney hopes to score over rivals like Dell is in the user experience. Like most netbooks, the Netpal runs Windows XP Home, but it offers two modes on start up: a standard desktop, which turns it into a run-of-the-mill netbook, and a Disney desktop option, which is where all the action is.

The Disney desktop mode allows multiple profiles to be created and the profiles can be customized with icons from the Disney stable such as Mickey Mouse or Snow White.

In the Disney desktop mode, the netbook includes programs such as Disney Pix, a software application that lets users customize photos; Radio Disney, which endlessly belts out music from Taylor Swift and Jonas Brothers; games; and a customized Disney browser.
