Lego iPhone app is a tiny applications for iPhone and iPod touch users that will transform any picture into a one made up of Legos. I have been looking in to communication apps and found that you can actually turn your iPod Touch in to a Mobile phone: you can make calls – send text messages and that is primarily because of 3rd party apps which enable this functioning.
Lately Vopium has released its app for iPod Touch which enables you to make calls (initially FREE and then you can buy from their low cost international call offering) and send SMS. You simply have to visit get.vopium.com from your iPod or download Vopium to your PC or Mac from iTunes.
Vopium is a free application installed on your iPod Touch (2nd generation) allowing you to turn it into a mobile phone. When your iPod is connected to WiFi, you can make calls and send text messages over the internet using your normal mobile number. You do not pay any charges to your mobile operator. You only pay Vopium’s low international call rates. You can obviously also use your iPod to make national calls. Just remember that you need to acquire a Microphone adapter to make calls.
When people call or text you back, you will receive the call and text message on your regular mobile phone. Thereby you are sure to always receive the call and text, even when you are not connected to WiFi
Vopium still has not integrated IM but it has been learnt from official channels that Instant messaging, integrated with MSN, Skype, Gtalk, Yahoo, AIM, ICQ and Twitter, will be added soon! Needless to say this new version obviously also works on your iPhone. You can read more about Vopium for iPod touch here (vopium.com/ipod)

Griffin has come out with a very decent and sophisticated line of iPhone casings for its customers. We have previously seen a lot of geeky iPhone casings but i must admit, the iPhone cases offered by Griffing are decent and i will prefer them over any other casing since theye are graceful and elegant.
By partnering with design firm Chilewich Sultan, Griffin is launching the Griffin + Chilewich line of accessories. According to Griffin website,
Together, Chilewich and Griffin are exploring how technology, interior design and materials can work together to create new, beautiful things.
The collaboration has produced cases for iPhone that seamlessly marry function and design. As the first offering in a collection of accessories featuring Chilewich signature woven vinyl, designer Sandy Chilewich collaborated with Griffin Technology to develop Elan Form Chilewich for iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G.
Vinyl yarn has a sheen that cloth doesn’t have, however, and is both durable and easy to clean. The Elan Form Chilewich ($39.99) is available at Griffin’s site, as well as the Apple Store and MoMA Design Store.

I wonder if there is any thing that is left untouched by the Apple revolution? Every site has made their own application for the Apple most famous phone i.e iPhone. Flickr, which is a world for picture lovers have created their own official app foriPhoneto better serve their clients who uses iPhone. The Flickr iPhone app is free and hence you can give it a try without giving a second thought. According to TechCrunch:
Yahoo’s Flickr app has just gone live in the App Store. After only a little bit of time using it, I can tell that I’m going to like it. The main screen is a fairly mesmerizing slideshow of photos from your contacts on Flickr. There is an upload button that is easily accessible right on the main page, and the upload process is nice and easy. You can obviously name your picture and give it a description, but you can also easily manage what set to put it in, and what tags to give it. And the privacy settings are very clearly displayed on the upload page.
The main page search functionality works well, and thumbnails are populated quickly. If you click on a photo, you can also go to a larger version loaded in a different screen that allows you to swipe left and right to move between images. It does not look like pinch to zoom works, however.
So what are you waiting for? Come on look at the screen shots and go ahead and download the Official Flickr iPhone App by clicking here
Now you can download torrents on your iPhone or iPod touch through the Torrentula app by Sunburst. The app is only available through Cydia so therefore you have to jail break your iPhone or iPod Touch and don’t worry jailbreak is now so common that no iPhone user can live without it. You can found Torrentula on Cydia under BigBoss and PlanetiPhones repository in the Utilities Section. Do note that Torrentula requires newest Jiggy Runtime. How to install Jiggy Runtime and Torrentula, Sunburst says the following:
If you haven’t downloaded and installed Jiggy yet, then you need to do so and you can check out how here. Once you have it installed, just add the source http://itouch.rockt.es/repo.xml to your iPhone Installer.
Once installed, just follow these steps outlined below, courtesy of sunburst:
Download .torrent files to your device with the HistoryDL.app (recommended) or the Safari Download Plugin into the mobile (or root)/Downloads folder. The program will scan your mobile (or root)/Downloads folder for new torrent files, and will import any valid torrent files regardless of their filename or extension. When a torrent has finished downloading from peers it will be automatically moved to mobile (or root)/Media/Downloads when selected. Note: Torrents continue downloading even when program is closed. A device restart can often activate/fix stubborn torrents.
The Torrentula app lets you search torrents from the best torrents site on the net like Mininova and Demonoid from its built in web browser. The app will keep downloading the torrents while staying in the background even if its not opened. There is also a negative side to it in case you forgot to put a hold on the download of a big redundant file. So do cancel the torrents that you want to stop downloading. Simply closing the app will not result in stopping the download process.
