How to Convert Torrent to Exe and Download without Torrent Client?

Now you can download torrents on your iPhone or iPod touch through the Torrentula app by Sunburst.  The app is only available through Cydia so therefore you have to jail break your iPhone or iPod Touch and don’t worry jailbreak is now so common that no iPhone user can live without it. The Torrentula app lets you search torrents from the best torrents site on the net like Mininova and Demonoid from its built in web browser. The app will keep downloading the torrents while staying in the background even if its not opened. There is also a negative side to it in case you forgot to put a hold on the download of a big redundant file. So do cancel the torrents that you want to stop downloading. Simply closing the app will not result in stopping the download process.

I only knew about the pirate bay, mininova and some more torrent sites. Although Torrentz, search engine for torrents is good and claims 9.5 million pages for torrents but Troogle is just reaching the mark with more than 7.5 million indexed torrents. I used Torrentz as well for my torrent search but but you have to go click too much to reach your required torrent and then download it. Toorgle on the other hand is good smart way using some trick code playing with google that only search for your search term on torrent sites and once you click on the search result it takes you directly to torrent page.

For Example when i used toorgle to search for SnagIt, I got some good amount of result and then clicked on very first link to take me to mininova. That was simple; so in just one click i reached my required torrent. Now what happened when i used Torrentz, i got Torrentz’s result pages from where i went to another page of Torrentz and then finally to required torrent page. What a long process! So why not use Toorgle?

Streaming Torrents are fast emerging as a new trend in the torrents industry.  Stream Torrent is a new less known entrant into the huge torrents industry but it is soon expected to leave its mark. Stream Torrent is a free software program for the Windows operating system that allows users to watch – and stream – TV and videos over the Internet. The Stream torrent can be used to access hundreds of famous channels from around the globe. When i did the test run of this product, i checked BBC, ESPN, Zee India, CNN, CNN Radio, HBO and Kanal A etc. There are literally hundreds of TV channels and videos available on Stream Torrent. It has a downloadable client in the zipped file. Its easy to install and operate. The software uses P2P technology that is popular in similar applications like TVU Player which means that the computer’s bandwidth is used to stream the contents to other users.

Once installed on your computer, start by clicking on File > Search in the menu to open the search interface which can be used to list all available channels or filtered channel lists either by keyword or pre-selection (e.g. sports, top 100). It is also possible to enter a keyword which will search for and return all channels matching that keyword. A good start is probably the top 100 channel list as suggested by another reviewer of Stream Torrent. The channels are quickly populated and the list shows the usual details that we see on all torrent sites e.g the name, bitrate, quality, audience etc.  After that you can just click on any channel and the channel will open up in a new window. It might take sometime as buffering takes place before the streaming starts and i am sure you are well aware that its common every where. You can also use Stream Torrent to start a new channel and stream channel or videos from your own computer.

I had the chance to watch few channels to get a first hand experience before writing this blog post, so i think the quality is not very good and even though i shortlisted the channels with had a “perfect” quality written in the row but still it was not a very satisfactory experience.  I didn’t found much potential in Stream Torrent but in anycase, i still believe future is of streaming torrents apps and not the current downloadable ones.

Even the Microsoft is feeling heat.  Recently, we all saw how Windows 7 was constantly getting leaked to the public, thanks to the Torrent sites and now its Microsoft Office Suite 2010. The technical preview and limited testing version was expected to be released in July, 2009 but somehow, its already available on the torrent sites. Even Office 2010 enthusiasts have already installed it on their machines to get a taste of the new MS Office 2010. Both the 32- and 64-bit editions of the application suite are available for download earlier than planned.
