Postman Pat Car was previously well know among the kids as it was one of their favorite toy car but Perry Watkins has turned it into the street legal World Smallest Car. Perry Watkins is previously well recorded in the world record books for his earlier creation “World Lowest Car” or as he calls it Flatmobile.
His latest creation “World Smallest Car” is just 39 inches tall and 26 inches wide. The car has 150cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine hooked to the rear wheels of car. The engine has been pulled from an ATV. World Smallest car feature working head and tail lights, windshield wiper and of course horn and turn signals. These features add up to make it street legal in Britain, where 47 years old Perry Watkins is currently based.
Perry Watkins himself gives an insight into the development of World Smallest car in the following words:
“I searched on eBay for something suitable, and found a Postman Pat coin-in-the-slot children’s ride from a vendor in Scotland. It was in non-operative order, but for what I had in mind, this was of no consequence as I only wanted the bare fibreglass body from the ride. This meant the unceremonious removal of Pat and his black-and-white cat Jess, the money box and sundry other bits and bobs.”
The car is an amazing and the owner seems really excited to drive it on a street as you can see in the video at the end of the post. Do keep in mind that Perry Watkins originally owns a Jaguar so you should not expect him driving it every day on the roads in UK
